At Springs Soccer Club, we like to celebrate not just our players, but our coaches who aspire to excellence and lead by example. That's why we’re thrilled to highlight the accomplishments of Coach Pedro and Coach Camvoy , who recently achieved significant milestones in their coaching careers. Coach Pedro earned his US Soccer National B License, while Coach Camvoy secured his US Soccer National C License. These achievements underscore their dedication to personal development and the pursuit of coaching excellence and we are proud do share their success with the club! What Do These Licenses Mean? The US Soccer National Coaching Licenses represent a structured progression of learning, skills, and expertise for coaches at every level of the game. Here’s what makes these licenses so impactful: National B License The National B License is designed for coaches working with older youth players and players at the collegiate level. It focuses on understanding the principles of team tactics, advanced training methodologies, and fostering player development. Earning this license requires extensive coursework, practical assessments, and a demonstrated ability to create and implement comprehensive training plans. Coaches who hold a B License are equipped to mentor players as they transition into advanced competitive environments. National C License The National C License serves as a foundational step for coaches preparing players in the U13-U19 youth competitive arena. It emphasizes age-appropriate coaching methods, the fundamentals of team organization, and creating an environment that nurtures technical and tactical growth. Like the B License, it requires rigorous education and practical evaluation, ensuring that coaches can effectively guide young players through critical stages of their soccer journey. Why the License Ladder Matters At Springs Soccer Club, we believe that our coaches’ development directly impacts our players’ growth. By pursuing the US Soccer license pathway, our coaches gain: Enhanced Knowledge: The licenses provide access to cutting-edge coaching methodologies and resources that keep our coaches ahead of the curve. Player-Centric Focus: Each license equips coaches to better understand the needs of players at different stages of development. Commitment to Excellence: Pursuing higher licenses demonstrates a dedication to ongoing improvement, mirroring the values we instill in our players. A Culture of Growth Coach Pedro and Coach Camvoy’s accomplishments reflect our club’s philosophy that learning never stops. All our coaches are encouraged to climb the licensing ladder, not just as a professional goal but as a commitment to, and example for, the players they serve. When our coaches grow, our players benefit from better training environments, more effective instruction, and a deeper understanding of the game. We’re incredibly proud of Coach Pedro and Coach Camvoy for their hard work and determination in achieving these significant milestones. Their achievements highlight not just their hard work, but their talent as coaches. We know how passionate these coaches are about soccer and about teaching valuable life lessons to their players, and US Soccer does too! If you see them out on the fields make sure to congratulate them! Go Springs!

This past weekend, our U17 Elite Boys had a statement performance in the 37th Annual Plantation Thanksgiving Classic, competing two age divisions up in the U19 bracket. Against older and more experienced opponents, the squad rose to the occasion, proving they are more than capable of holding their own against top-level competition. After a series of intense matches, the team reached the finals, where they faced East Florida United. Despite their hard-fought efforts, the game ended in a 2-0 loss; our 2008 Boys ended their weekend with a notable second-place finish. Reflecting on the tournament, Coach Pedro shared some insight into his team's preparation and performance: “Most of the boys play high school soccer, where they’re already competing against older players. We focused on being defensively disciplined and working together as a unit. Playing older opponents meant facing a speed and size disadvantage, so effort was key. The boys had some doubts, but once the whistle blew, the way they played, you couldn’t tell which was the younger team.” The team demonstrated incredible resilience throughout the weekend. Coach Pedro highlighted one such moment of resolve: “I was really proud of how resilient they were in tough moments. In our first game, we went down a player due to a double yellow and conceded a penalty, but the mindset to block the penalty and then go on to score two goals was a key moment for us. I’m also very proud of how they played for each other and left it all on the field.” This result underscores the team’s ability to rise above adversity and embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Looking ahead, the 2008 Elite Boys have ambitious goals: “We want to build off this performance and continue to work. We have the Springs Cup coming up, and we want to have a great showing in our age group against top competition. Then, we’ll focus on starting the new year strong at the ECNL RL Showcase in January.” The Thanksgiving Classic marks a significant temperature check for the 2008 Elite Boys, as they continue to prepare for even greater challenges ahead. The table is set, their seat is open, and they're hungry for more competition this season. This result highlights the long-term player development philosophy at Springs Soccer Club, where players are consistently pushed to compete at their highest potential. This is a team that welcomes the challenge, and is better for it. We congratulate the 2008 Elite Boys team, their coaching staff, and families on an outstanding achievement this holiday break. The Springs Soccer Club community is proud of their accomplishments thus far, and is excited to see what they achieve next. Go Springs!

At Springs Soccer Club, our crest is more than just a logo—it's a symbol of our identity, our values, and our deep connection to the community we call home. Every detail within the crest has meaning. It serves as both a tribute to the City of Coral Springs and representative mark of a commitment to fostering a strong, united soccer family. Here’s a look at what each part of our crest represents. Connecting with Coral Springs The gold in our crest symbolizes our bond with the City of Coral Springs, specifically mirroring the city’s motto, "Everything Under The Sun." This color represents our pride in being a part of Coral Springs and reflects our commitment to the vibrant, welcoming community that surrounds us. Honoring Our Community’s Strength One of the most poignant elements of our crest is the set of angel wings framing the central palm tree. These "17" angels honor the memory of those lost in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy, as well as those who were injured, the hospital staff, and the first responders who helped our community through an incredibly difficult time. The wings serve as a reminder that "We Are Stronger Together," symbolizing resilience, unity, and compassion in the face of adversity. Representing Our Core Values Three stars are placed around the crest, each representing a core value of our club culture. These stars emphasize that values are what matter most in our program. They guide how we train, play, and grow, both as individuals and as a club. At Springs Soccer Club, character and integrity are as important as the skills we develop on the field. The Bridge to Our Roots Underneath the palm tree, you’ll find a pattern that mirrors the pillars of Coral Springs’ iconic Covered Bridge. Built in 1964, this bridge was the first structure in the city, a symbol of foundation and heritage. Our crest’s bridge element is a nod to the enduring strength of our community and a reminder that anything with a solid foundation will withstand the test of time. A New Chapter Begins in 2020 The year 2020 holds special significance in our club’s journey. It was the year Springs Soccer Club was officially recognized as the "Official Travel Soccer Club" in the City of Coral Springs. This milestone was a testament to the dedication of our players, coaches, and families, and it marked the beginning of a new era for the club—a time to grow, develop, and make a difference in the lives of young athletes across Coral Springs. If you’re interested in representing your club and crest, we currently have merchandise with our team logo available for purchase. You can find the team store at the Cypress Park concessions stand, open Tuesday through Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM while training is in session. It’s a great way to show your connection to the Springs Soccer family, and makes a great gift for family this holiday season! Go Springs!
